Quad9 was launched in 2017 by the Global Cyber Alliance, IBM and Packet Clearing House and moved its legal home to Switzerland in 2021. 9.9.9.9 blocks domains on its threat lists; 9.9.9.10 is the unfiltered variant; 9.9.9.11 adds EDNS Client Subnet. Secondary: 149.112.112.112. IPv6: 2620:fe::fe.

It is a good default for home routers and small offices that want malware blocking without running their own filter. Quad9 does not log the source IP of queries.
